A path to savings
After a thorough technical analysis we decided to install new LED lighting with a white and red component, which according to a number of studies has a proven positive effect on animals. Our electrical installation partner Compactive removed the original non-compliant lighting and installed 62 new energy-saving and ammonia-resistant LED lights, including the Savee control system, where the individual elements of the system control the lighting systems both inside the barn and in the outdoor enclosure.
Red LED lights are more economical in night mode and according to expert studies, red light during the night has a positive effect on the overall psychological well-being of the animals. It promotes quality and undisturbed rest, stimulates healthy growth and higher milk production.
Red lighting has ensured that staff have enough light during the night hours for safe movement and necessary tasks, regular medical care or calf births.
For ease and comfort of use, the manual controls have been retained in the form of durable industrial buttons and a modern heated display has been added for a more visual presentation of the smart lighting control system
The system has been designed to allow future connection to fans or other smart technologies that will not only save electricity but provide better and automated farm operation.
