The road to savings
After a technical analysis, we opted for a complete move away from strip fluorescents and installed suitable LED lights. Furthermore, we identified and precisely described all possible operating scenarios, not only depending on the premises, but also with regard to different times of the day.
Savee’s solution works from early morning, when half an hour before the start of the shift, the walkway is lit at 50% for the shift supervisor, who is the first on site and prepares the entire hall for the employees. Before Savee, this was solved by either moving in complete darkness or having to light the entire hall half an hour early.
Five minutes before the start of the shift, all lights are turned on to the level required to provide 500 lux (as per standard). The evaluation of the correct light intensity is taken care of by luxmeters (illuminance sensors) in combination with time schedules according to the customer’s settings and needs.
Controlled lighting in an industrial hall can also reflect planned breaks. This ensures that no light is shone unnecessarily during a break. Wastage is also stopped in warehouse areas where employees only move between shelves for a few minutes. The installation of motion sensors has also stopped unnecessary lighting here. In addition, we connected Savee to the alarm system to ensure that all lights go off automatically when they are supposed to – after the last employee leaves.
